About Us

Welcome to Sterling Peptides

At Sterling Peptides we stand by our name, our products and our methodology. Sterling customer service, providing clinical grade products and a sincere commitment to maintaining a sterling reputation. Sterling Peptides was formed because we felt that the peptide industry, generally, didn’t have sufficient quality control. We wanted to give our customers the reassurance that throughout the process of manufacture, analysis, packaging and transit, each step was thoroughly evaluated and that strict measures were put in place to monitor and maintain composition and sterility. In line with this we commission a UK lab (Alta Bioscience) to run HPLC purification and mass spectrum analysis for each batch of manufactured peptides. Alta Bioscience is a highly reputable analysis company that was established in 1973. The test results can be found on our analysis page.

What are Peptides?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that are linked together. If only two peptides are linked then it is called a di-peptide. With 3 links the peptide becomes a tri-peptide, then with 4 a tetra-peptide and so on up to deca-peptide. When the number of links gets to approx. 10 or more then these are referred to as polypeptides. Large polypeptides become small proteins. The is no general scientific consensus at specifically when a peptide becomes a protein but as a general rule peptides tend to have molecular masses of a few thousand, while proteins have masses of tens of thousands.

Packaging & Shipping

All our peptides are individually wrapped in bubble wrap before the vials are then collectively wrapped again before placing snugly into re usable cardboard boxes. The box is then further wrapped with Mylar heat and light reflective material before it is addressed and sent to the courier.

Peptides are clinically packaged into USP Type 1 Borosilicate Glass.
